A large variety of natural stone in a wide range of colours is the consequence of the enormous geological richness of the Region of Murcia (Spain). From a long time ago people from Murcia have been able to make good use of this. The Marble and Stone Association of the Region of Murcia, MARSA, was created in 1986, covering then the necessity of guiding the efforts of an economic sector with a progressive growth. Since then, the aim of Marsa has been to create and strengthen the social-economic bases in order to consolidate the presence of products from Murcia at national and international markets. Nowadays, the Marble of Murcia has gained an image of quality, variety and competitiveness, and it can be found at the most beautiful buildings all around the world.
